Jacksonville has many great places to eat and visit. For those of you traveling from out of town, we’ve put together a short list of our some favorite spots, mostly near our host location, Keiser University.

Attractions

Five Points

Historic 5 Points, Where the original downtown trolley tracks made their loop. Tons of quirky shopping and dining options.

Jacksonville Zoo and Gardens

Lots of trees and small enough to see all in a day. For a quiet place to rest, walk around to the pagoda behind the koi pond in the Asian Bamboo Gardens.

Beaches

Knowns as Florida’s, “First Coast,” we have plenty of beaches to choose from. Here are some of our favorites:

Atlantic Beach

This small beach town has miles of laid-back beaches that are perfect for shell-hunting.

Hanna Park

This 450-beach front city park featurs picnic area, beach access, freshwater lake for fishing, kayaking, paddle boats and canoes, and biking/hiking trails.

Jacksonville & Neptune Beach

Jacksonville Beach has it all, from beautiful beaches to a well-known fishing pier. It also features some of the best waves in the region, which attracts surfers from near and far.
