WordPress Settings

The “Settings” section of WordPress tends to be overlooked by most beginners. After all, you want to get your website up and running as fast as possible. The Settings Administration Screen contains all of the settings that define your blog as a whole: settings which determine how your site behaves, how you interact with your site, and how the rest of the world interacts with your site. They are important for the health of your website. In this session, we’ll look at best practices in configuring these settings. Topics include setting your site title and tagline (and why it’s important), determine whether to show a static page or your posts on the home page, control who gets to comment on your site, and more.
